Thanks to your support, we continue to expand and enhance the User Conference. This year we’re extending the technical sessions and adding a full day (April 5) specifically for FatWire Partners.

Focus On Users
The User Conference is your opportunity to trade insights, tips, and tricks with other users of FatWire content solutions. In numerous and frank discussions with customers, partners and FatWire employees, you can learn about the innovative content strategies of others, promote you own successes, and discuss common problems. We will also present detailed updates on FatWire strategy and product development, including Content Server version 6.3, the brand new FatWire Analytics, and the many innovations that will appear in version 7.0.

Praise For The 2005 Event
"Let us first thank all of you guys at FatWire for a great conference. The location was splendid, as were the arrangements in total. . . .It was a rewarding conference for us, especially to hear your other customers' presentations about their utilization of Content Server. That gave us some insight and a couple of new ideas. We are already looking forward to the 2006 conference!"
-- Marcus Leander, "3" Sweden

"I enjoyed the conference a lot. I think that it has been very positive, and I hope to attend next year too. Congratulations!"
-- Juan Pedro Ruiz Luna, Vass

Of the attendees surveyed in 2005, 100% said they would attend again and 100% said they would recommend the event to other customers and partners.

Help Us Build The Best Agenda
Past presentations have included:
- Wienerberger on multi-site, multi-language projects
- Dyrup on managing a site redesign
- Generali on knowledge and document management with Content Server
If you would like to make a presentation, or if you have specific areas you would like to see addressed, please contact tim.walters@fatwire.com.

Return Of The Roundtable
Combining the best of past events, we plan to add industry roundtable discussions to the customer presentations familiar from 2005. These could include:
- “Out On The Edge with Travel Sites” Web initiatives in the ultra-competitive Travel and Tourism industry are leading the adoption of techniques and strategies – Ajax, cross-channel sales campaigns, closed-loop targeted marketing, and “Web 2.0” – that will soon enough become widespread.
- “From Bulletin Board to My.Gov” FatWire’s government and non-profit customers stretch from Iberia to Russia, and include some of the largest citizens’ portals in Europe. Government sites are often perceived as dusty document repositories. On the contrary, many government portals are now dynamic, highly personalized, and community-driven – and offer many lessons about building and maintaining visitor loyalty.

Welcoming Partners
As a partner-centric business, FatWire values and relies upon our many excellent partners. The first day of this year’s event will be dedicated to business and technical sessions specifically for the partner network. We’ll cover market trends, competitive positioning, sales strategies, product roadmaps, integration best-practices, and much more. If you would like to make a presentation at the partner sessions, or have suggestions for coverage areas, please contact me.

Tentative Event Schedule
Wednesday, April 5 (9:00 to 18:00): Partner Day: Business and technical sessions for partners only
Thursday, April 6 (0900 to 1800): Customer presentations / Business-oriented sessions
Friday, April 7 (0900 to 1500): Technical-oriented sessions for customers and partners / one-on-one meetings with FatWire executives

(Partners are of course encouraged to attend on Thursday and Friday as well.)

Who Should Attend
Business and IT management, marketers, site owners, and developers from both customers and partners.

Venue and Meeting Details
The Solplay Aparthotel is a premium four star property located 10km north of the Lisbon airport in Linda-a-Velha. Solplay was the base for the English football team during the European Championships in Portugal in 2003. It’s called an “Aparthotel” because every room has a fully stocked kitchen – as well as a large balcony.

As always, there is no conference fee, and FatWire will provide all meals associated with the event. Attendees will need to cover airfare, accommodations at the hotel, and incidental expenses. The discounted guest room rate is 80 Euro for a standard room (i.e., a studio apartment), and 115 Euro for a one-bedroom apartment (125 Euro for double occupancy). Attendees may extend their stay through Friday and Saturday nights at the conference rate.

Register Now
Space is limited. First, we hope to avoid parallel business and technical tracks, so that no one will have to miss a session. Second, we have extended the event to 3 days, in order to have one full day specifically for partner sales and technical training.

The conference organization will be:
Wednesday, April 5: Sales and technical sessions for FatWire partners
Thursday, April 6: Customer presentations and related business sessions
Friday, April 7: Technical sessions for customers and one-on-one executive meetings
Partners are of course very welcome to attend the customer sessions. The conference will close by mid-afternoon on April 7 to allow for return flights.

We will announce the venue and provide more details in early January.
